Kupandole, Lalitpur.  The ICT Club of The Westminster College successfully organized its latest event titled “Basics of Computer Software” on 30 May 2025 at the Study Room. This informative session served as a continuation of the club’s previous event, “Basics of Computer Hardware,” further enriching students' foundational IT knowledge.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Shubham Maharjan, who expertly guided students through essential software concepts. Key topics covered during the session included:

• Introduction to Computer Software - providing a basic understanding of operating systems and application software.
• Operating Systems - exploring different types of OS and how they operate.
• Hands-On Activities - practical tasks such as installing basic applications and managing files and folders.

The event started with an engaging warm-up session to energize participants and concluded with a reflection segment where students shared key takeaways and learnings from the experience.

This workshop not only strengthened students’ conceptual understanding but also allowed them to engage in real-world application through hands-on activities-an approach the ICT Club continues to promote.

The next scheduled event by the ICT Club is the “Idea Pitch Competition,” where students will have the opportunity to showcase innovative tech-related solutions and ideas.
