Kupandole, Lalitpur | The Westminster College, part of the British Education Group, successfully hosted the Girls’ Badminton Tournament under the Westminster Sports 2025 series.

The tournament took place on 21 July 2025 at the college badminton court, featuring competitive matches among enthusiastic participants.

Ruby Thapa Magar emerged as the champion, showcasing exceptional skill and determination. She defeated Aachal Acharya and Pramuna Bharati to secure her spot in the finals. On the other side of the bracket, Anjila Malla made her way to the final after overcoming Simran Maharjan and Tisa Kasaju.

The final match was a thrilling contest. Ruby secured the first set 21-15 and edged a nail-biting second set 26-24, clinching the title of Westminster Girls Badminton Champion.

At the closing ceremony, the CEO of The Westminster College, Mr. Mahendra Raj Kandel, awarded the trophy and certificates to both the winner and runner-up.
