Sumit Tamang Crowned Westminster Boys' Badminton Champion

Kupandole, Lalitpur. Sumit Tamang has been crowned the Westminster Boys' Badminton Champion following an impressive performance at the Westminster Badminton Tournament, held on 20 July 2025 at The Westminster College premises.
As part of the ongoing Westminster Sports series, the tournament brought together 22 enthusiastic participants. Sumit displayed remarkable skill and consistency, defeating Rojan Khatri, Pratik Subedi, and Roshan Dahal en route to the final.
On the other side of the draw, Elam Ingnam secured his place in the final after overcoming Suprit Rijal, Sijan Shrestha, and Bisaj Buddhacharya in hard-fought matches.
The final match, officiated by Mr. Kumar Pradhan, a veteran national badminton champion and Level 2 certified coach of the World Badminton Association, witnessed Sumit dominate with a straight-set victory of 21–5 and 21–16 over Elam.
Both the winner and the runner-up were awarded trophies and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.
