Student Services Department (SSD)
The Student Services Department (SSD) is central to creating a supportive, responsive, and student-focused environment. It serves as the primary point of contact for students, offering guidance, assistance, and access to essential services that contribute to both academic success and personal well-being.
Key Services:
- Information and Guidance
The SSD ensures students receive timely and accurate information on academic schedules, deadlines, guest lectures, and personal tutoring. It also monitors attendance and follows up on absences in line with college policies, prioritising student welfare. - Student Records Management
The department maintains accurate and up-to-date student records through the Student Management System, including attendance, communication logs, and official documentation. It also facilitates the issuance of student ID cards, letters, and recommendations. - Accommodation Assistance
SSD supports students, particularly new and international students, in exploring suitable accommodation options. While the College does not operate its own hostel facilities, guidance and recommendations are provided to help students make informed decisions. - New Student Support
The department organises induction programmes to support new students in transitioning smoothly into college life. This includes orientation sessions, welcome events, and networking opportunities designed to foster a sense of belonging. - Referral Services
Students are guided to appropriate departments and support services, including academic staff, ECA & CCA, counselling, well-being services, and the Professional Development Centre, ensuring access to specialised support when required.
