Delegates from the University of Westminster Visit The Westminster College

Kupondole, Lalitpur. The Westminster College had the honour of welcoming esteemed delegates from the University of Westminster, UK, as part of their ongoing commitment to strengthening academic collaboration and ensuring quality education delivery in Nepal.

The visiting delegation included Mr. Stephen R. D. Wallis, Head of Transnational Education, and Dr. Andrea Martina, Assistant Head of School & Director of Global Engagement, School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Westminster.

Day 1 Highlights: Faculty & Student Engagement

On 12 June, Dr. Martina held an interactive session with the faculty members of The Westminster College. During the meeting, Dr. Martina shared valuable insights into the University’s vision, future plans, and academic policies. The session also included a Q&A, allowing faculty to exchange ideas and discuss collaborative academic practices.

Later, Dr. Martina engaged with students of The Westminster College, where he listened to their feedback and assessed overall student satisfaction. The students also had the opportunity to directly interact with him in a candid Q&A session, highlighting the University’s student-centered approach.

A conference call was also organized with Dr. Anthony Manning, the External Examiner from the University of Westminster, who joined from the UK. Mr. Arun Lal Joshi (Head of College) and Ms. Anjila Tamrakar Shrestha (SSD & Exam Manager) participated in the call to discuss academic standards, assessment policies, and quality assurance.

Day 2 Highlights: Strategic Meetings

On 13 June, Mr. Stephen R. D. Wallis and Dr. Andrea Martina met with key management personnel of The Westminster College. The meeting included Mr. Arun Lal Joshi (Head of College), Mr. Govind Dev Ballabh Adhikari (Head of Marketing and Admissions), Mr. Sagar Acharya (Finance Manager), and Mr. Subas Gauli (Student Engagement & Events Manager).

The delegates also interacted with administrative and academic staff members to understand the operational progress and institutional development.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Stephen R. D. Wallis remarked, “The Westminster College has made impressive progress in a short span of time and shows strong potential for continued excellence.”
