The role is responsible for managing and maintaining the college’s overall IT and network
infrastructure while also delivering high-quality teaching in networking and computer systems
modules. The position requires a professional with strong technical expertise, teaching
experience, and the ability to support academic operations through ICT services and training.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. IT & Network Infrastructure Management
- Manage, maintain, and monitor the college’s network infrastructure, including LAN,
WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Ensure the IT infrastructure is up to date, secure, and operating efficiently.
- Plan, design, and implement new network architectures or upgrades as required.
- Maintain and update all IT systems including servers, internet connectivity, VPN access,
email systems, computer labs, and cloud platforms.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software across
the campus.
- Administer and maintain CCTV systems, biometric attendance devices, backup systems,
and other security infrastructure.
- Ensure regular maintenance, updates, and documentation of college IT assets.
- Provide timely IT support to staff and students, ensuring minimum downtime.
B. Academic & Teaching Responsibilities
1- Teach modules related to Computer Systems Network and Security
2- Deliver lecture, practical sessions, assignments, and assessments as per the University
guidelines.
3- Plan and deliver bootcamps, workshops, and short training sessions on Networking,
Security, IoT, and Automation-related tools and technologies.
4- Support students academically and technically across assigned modules.
C. Coordination & Liaison
- Liaise with the University Module Leader regarding curriculum delivery, assessment
moderation, and academic compliance.
- Collaborate with academic teams to ensure quality teaching and smooth delivery of
modules.
- Coordinate with management for IT planning, budgeting, and system improvements.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering,
IT Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional experience in network administration, system management, or IT
infrastructure support.
- Teaching experience in networking or related ICT subjects.
- Experience with firewalls, servers, DHCP/DNS, virtualization, CCTV systems, and
network security tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide prompt IT support.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
