Problem-Solving International Hackathon (PSIH) 2026
The University of Westminster is hosting the annual Problem-Solving International Hackathon (PSIH), a dynamic academic initiative designed to bring together students from partner institutions across the globe. Building on the success of previous years, PSIH 2026 aims to foster collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation among participants from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
This year’s hackathon will take place on 24 February 2026, connecting students simultaneously across four international campuses:
- London, United Kingdom – 10:00 (local time)
- Tashkent, Uzbekistan – 15:00 (local time)
- Colombo, Sri Lanka – 15:30 (local time)
- Lalitpur, Nepal – 15:45 (local time)
Participating institutions include:
- The Westminster College, Lalitpur
- University of Westminster – School of Computer Science and Engineering (London)
- Westminster International University in Tashkent
- Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Sri Lanka
PSIH 2026 is a 90-minute competitive challenge, carefully structured to test analytical ability, quantitative reasoning, and technical competence. The competition is divided into three core sections:
- Logic – Assessing structured thinking and problem analysis
- Mathematics – Evaluating numerical reasoning and analytical skills
- Programming – Testing coding proficiency and practical application
The hackathon provides an engaging platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced, international academic environment. It also strengthens institutional partnerships while encouraging cross-border academic collaboration and intellectual exchange.
