Cracking the Code: Cybersecurity Challenge Series & CTF
The Westminster College is organising the Cyber Security Challenge Series, a four-week programme titled “Cracking the Code: Playing with Cybersecurity Challenges & CTF.” This initiative is designed to enhance students’ practical cyber security skills through a structured and engaging learning experience.
The programme provides opportunities for students to learn, practise, and compete in a range of cyber security challenges while receiving continuous guidance from faculty mentors. It aims to foster problem-solving abilities, promote ethical hacking awareness, and encourage teamwork through real-world applications.
Programme Structure:
Week 1: Orientation & Training
Introduction to the Cyber Security Challenge, basic concepts, tools, and team formation
Week 2: Skill Development
Workshops on vulnerability assessment, web security, and digital forensics, along with guided practice sessions
Week 3: Cyber Security Challenge
Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges based on real-world scenarios where teams solve tasks and earn points
Week 4: Final Challenge & Presentation
Final competition, team presentations, guest lecture, and evaluation by a faculty panel
